I almost didn’t send this…

I had this limiting belief that it’s only worthwhile to send a newsletter if I have a loooong list of things to share… which almost prevented me from sharing those two — I find incredibly valuable — resources with you. 🤦🏽‍♀️

Thank god I’ve learned how to get over my own BS (it still gets me though)…

So, I’m sending this newsletter with two FANTASTIC updates/recommendations and I hope you’ll enjoy them as much as I do.

On a more personal note, I am still based in Algarve for June and will move on afterwards. Where to, I don’t know yet.

Guess I am what they call a “digital nomad” now. :))

Where should I go next? I thought about going back to Lisbon for a bit but I am open to suggestions. Any ideas, available places to rent, shoot me a message.

Aaaaand the updates you were all awaiting….

🎧 Things You Should Listen To: Eckhart Tolle: Essential Teachings Podcast

The other day I interviewed Marc Allen, the founder of the publishing company who published Eckhard Tolle’s “The Power of Now” and many other spiritual teachers. I told him how much this book changed my life (as I’m sure it has for many others) and it reminded me to go back to Eckhart’s teachings — wow, powerful. Much to my delight, I saw that he and Oprah just launched a new podcast format, which I’ve been binging on for the past few days. Definitely check it out. Available on all major podcast platforms.

Also — stay tuned for my episode with Marc on the in.sync podcast. Such a fun guy!

📚 Things You Should Read: Tao Te Ching: The Essential Translation of the Ancient Chinese Book of the Tao by Lao-Tzu

I downloaded this book as an audio version and stopped after chapter 1. I didn’t get it. Thought it was boring. But, something made me resume again and I am so glad I did! These ancient ideas and concepts are indeed very powerful for modern-day leaders. I would like to dive even deeper into these teachings in the coming weeks, so if you have any materials to share or people to follow that are building upon this knowledge, let me know.

“This book is a great guide to cultivating a life of peace, serenity, and compassion. Traditionally attributed to Lao-Tzu, a Chinese philosopher thought to have been a contemporary of Confucius, it is the essential text of Taoism, one of the three major religions of ancient China. As one of the world’s great works of wisdom literature, it still has much to teach us today, offering a practical model based on modesty and self-restraint for living a balanced existence and for opening your mind, freeing your thoughts, and attaining greater self-awareness. With its emphasis on calm, simplicity, purity, and non-action, it provides a time-tested refuge from the busyness of modern life.”
